Spirit filled. Articulate. Beautiful. Effervescent. Elegant, Smart and down to earth are just a few adjectives used to describe Lady Marlaa M. Reid. She is, indeed, a unique and gifted woman of God. Sis. Marlaa, as she is affectionately called, is a woman whose reputation positively precedes her professionally, spiritually, socially and academically.
As a woman of God, she is highly sought after as a speaker, teacher and lecturer. She crosses denominational lines addressing women throughout the country on relevant and contemporary issues as a speaker/preacher and empowerment coach. She is electrifying and ministers with Godly, mature wisdom that is scripturally sound and biblically based, in an unforgettable manner. Her creativity and presentation are most memorable!
Previously, Lady Marlaa presented at the Calling First Ladies Conference and the First Ladies Summit in Washington and at the White House. Other platforms include the Helpmeets Session at the Joint College of Bishops, Baltimore City Keynote Speaker for Young Women in Action, Wives in Pastoral Ministry Session at International Theological Seminary, The Minister's Wives and Widows Alliance, Anne Arundel County Chapter.
Mrs. Reid matriculated at some of the country’s finest schools, which include: New York University, The University of Missouri at Kansas City. As a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles, Lady Marlaa has a degree and is trained in Communications with an emphasis in Radio and Television Production. Her collegiate and academic excellence is recognized on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic honors.
Professionally, Mrs. Reid mirrors the Proverbs 31 woman. She wears many hats. She actively assists her husband in ministry in teaching, preaching ,public relations, advertising and event planning for the ministry. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and a national volunteer team, Lady Marlaa spearheaded the successful campaign to Elect Dr. Frank M. Reid III as the 138th Consecrated Bishop in the AME Church.
Lady Marlaa is very creative and uses her gifts to distinguish her assignment. Mrs. Reid also served as the on-air host and producer of the award winning Outreach of Love Television Broadcast featuring her husbands dynamic preaching. In addition to producing, Mrs. Reid does professional writing for television and radio as well as professional voiceovers. Most recently, she served as the Executive Producer for the award winning Magic 95.9 Sunday Morning Joy Broadcast and the highly acclaimed Outreach of Love Broadcast on BET. Both broadcasts garnered top ratings for their time slots on Sunday Morning programming.
As an entrepreneur, Lady Marlaa is founder of Virtuous Images Cosmetics, a highly distinctive cosmetic line for women of color, which also provides training, image consulting and self-development. Other assignments include President of Frank M. Reid Ministries and Enterprises which produces books, tapes, videos, CDs, DVDs live Facebook messages and Podcasts of herself and her husband’s messages. She also oversees the development of Frank M. Reid Ministries which is designed to improve the lives of many and to introduce the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to those who do not know the Lord and to equip them to move into optimum success through seminars, conferences and mentoring programs.
Socially and civically, Mrs. Reid is sought after for one-on-one mentoring and counseling for first ladies throughout the nation, as well as women in her church and community. Lady Reid is passionate about women's empowerment and works her passion to produce programs that enlighten and equip women. She is curator and founder of:

Co-founder of For Women Only Bible Study in Baltimore Maryland. The FWO Bible Study is a regional highlight for women across denominational boundaries. Via the Bible study, Lady Marlaa provides thought provoking biblical wisdom that inspires women to apply practical principles to succeed in daily living. As a teacher and consultant, Lady Marlaa also provides consultation for conferences which empowers, equips and enlightens women to live successfully for Christ.
Founder and Visionary of the DreamGirlz Conference - a conference, platform and network that equips and empowers women to recapture and execute their God given dreams. Marlaa Reid believes that women often give their energy to the dreams and desires of others and put their God given dreams on the back burner. Supervisor Marlaa believes in dream development not dream deferment. The DreamGirlz platform offers, dream visualization, dream realization and dream manifestation.
Lady Marlaa's Passion for Womens' Empowerment allowed her to serve in numerous capacities including as leader and facilitator for Young Women In Action (YWIA), a program designed by former Mayor Sheila Dixon to address the needs of at risk young women. Lady Marlaa served as a weekly facilitator and mentor to young women in Baltimore area schools.
Mrs. Reid is the recipient of numerous community service awards including: The Mary McCloud Bethune Service Award for Community Service recognizing her extraordinary contributions in the area of communications; Woman of Distinction Community Service Award from Clear Channel Radio Woman of the Year from the Senate for the State of California.
Currently Supervisor Marlaa is assigned to the Women's Missionary Society, 3rd Episcopal District of the A.M.E. Church.
Most of all, Supervisor Marlaa’ is a woman who loves God and considers her God given roles of woman, wife, mother, daughter and friend the best gifts from God. She is married to Bishop Frank M. Reid III the 138th Elected Bishop of the AME Church and the biological mother of Faith, FranShon, and Shane. Supervisor Marlaa is regarded by many as a mother to the nation.
