18th Episcopal District, Serving Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, South Mozambique, and Northeast Lesotho

Constance Belin Wicker is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is the Episcopal Supervisor of the 18th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, which consists of the countries of Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland and Botswana. She is an ordained itinerant elder with a strong desire to motivate women and children. She strives to live out her ministerial call by serving God completely, loving humanity unconditionally and to living life on purpose. 
 
Mrs. Wicker is a lifelong learner, earning a B.S. degree in pre-med zoology with a minor in math from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a Master of Divinity from Turner Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia; and a Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.  
 
Her vocational background includes positions as a chemical lab tech for Georgia Pacific, US Steel, Exxon USA, and Coca Cola USA. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, she obtained a position in business banking with Wachovia and later became the childcare director for Antioch AME Church.
 
Mrs. Wicker is very active in the District utilizing her vocational and educational skills to connect Church with community to make a positive impact. She has collaborated with the leadership team at Selulasandl Vashti Children’s Center in Swaziland to create an internal library for the children to encourage reading and to increase vocabulary skills. She has been instrumental in enhancing the after-school tutorial efforts to help students to graduate. She continues to make the Children’s Center a safe haven by seeking support through other organizations to ensure that the necessities of each child are met.
 
In Mozambique she has identified a need for foot protection and initiated the flip-flop ministry by collecting and purchasing flip-flops for distribution in the community. Mrs. Wicker has also developed workshops and training sessions to equip minister spouses and their families. She continues to motivate, encourage and inspire women and children to live their best lives filled with God’s promise of abundance.
 
She is married to Bishop Stafford J.N. Wicker and they are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters, Valencia and Lauren.
